Taiba Sheheryar is a Pakistani Canadian model and entrepreneur who has blazed trails for countless young girls, businesses in need, and more. A high-placing model at Mrs. Universe 2017, the world’s premier international beauty pageant, she is the only Pakistani model to break through on an international stage. In Pakistan, acting is now becoming accepted and considered a mainstream talent there, and Taiba is helping to inspire the modeling industry to emerge as well.
Taiba is a dedicated example of philanthropy in her modeling work. She is currently helping to revitalize several Canadian fashion brands. She is actively purchasing from and supporting Canadian fashion brands such as Mendocino, Lintervalle, Mackage, Saje Natural Wellness, and many others. Instead of just loosely giving “shout outs” to these brands, she’s dedicated her own funds to actively buy and wear these brands to help spread the word and keep people tuned in to these brands.
She is also working in South Africa in schools and orphanages with the help of organizations such as Extra Marks and Feed The Babies. Additionally, she is an active member of several women empowerment conferences held by the International Empowered Administration. She is helping children attend school and have more chances at learning in a rural village in her home nation of Pakistan. Normally, children in the village work as brick makers, performing heavy manual labor. Taiba has helped to change this by equipping the village and school with resources, medical supplies, and more.
“Growing up I wasn’t allowed to make choices about what to wear, or have much self-expression,” Taiba explains.
“I want to give back as much as I possibly can. Helping children see their potential and rise above their circumstances to thrive and grow literally brings tears to my eyes because I know how many children are in need. If I can make at least a small impact with my life, this is all I want.”
