Comparing it with the 30 of June 2020, only four thousand invitations had been issued under this category. This creates competition whereby only those with the highest points are invited.
2. Visa 190-Permanent Skilled
This type of Visa is similar to the 189. The only difference is that the region or state is the one offering an invitation, unlike the 189, where the offer is placed by the government.
In this case, only a few states have competition when it comes to points, such as the state of Victoria. Also, different states and regions have varying requirements.
These are the only applicants who qualify to apply:
A profession in the MLTSSL, STSOL or even the regional occupation list. Apart from that, the occupation should also be existing in the territory or state list. Each state decides on the occupations in the above category that they would wish to nominate.
In most cases, people already living, studying, and working in a given state may be given priority.
3. Visa 491-Skilled Work Regional
To get one of these visa, you either need to be nominated by a region or state. The difference between the above two is that 491 expire after five years. Once granted, you, together with your family, need to stay in the specified region for at least 3years and have an income of $53 900 per year.If you go by the stipulated requirements, it will give you leeway to apply for the 190 permanent visas, which will see you working and permanently living in any region in Australia.
