This blog post will provide information to the reader about dental implant restoration in Columbia. It will discuss what causes tooth loss and how dental implants work.

There are many reasons for losing teeth, but the most common is gum disease or tooth decay, with 9 out of 10 people experiencing some form of oral disease by age 35. You must take steps to protect your oral health each day. You can ensure that your teeth remain healthy by visiting your dentist twice per year for routine check-ups and professional cleanings.

Oral disease can lead to tooth loss in just one year. With that being said, teeth are the only bones that do not have a blood supply in adults. This means that they are very susceptible to infections and bleeding. If left untreated, this can cause tooth decay, which we usually hear about when we hear about tooth loss.

So, just what causes tooth loss?

A common form of oral disease is gingivitis or gum disease. It is caused by plaque build-up and can be prevented with regular dental check-ups and dental cleanings. It is essential to maintain a good oral hygiene routine at home by brushing and flossing daily.

If it has been found that you do have gingivitis and tooth loss is inevitable due to infection and decay, the next step may be tooth replacement by dental implants. Dental implants are made of titanium and provide a strong base for anchoring false teeth or Dental crown. They are often more potent than the natural root structure of the missing tooth even after years of use.

So how do dental implants work?

They are placed in the mouth percutaneously or through a small incision in the gum tissue. Your dentist will use a special drill to place the surgical screw into the jawbone, about an inch deep in your gums. Once in place, your dentist will securely connect a titanium bar placed over the surgical screw to secure it in place. You can check online for the full details of how All on 4 procedures are done.

    Conclusion: –

This bar is then used to anchor your artificial tooth or crown onto. It is essential to follow all instructions given after receiving dental implant restoration. Some patients may require discomfort medications during recovery due to soreness and swelling of the soft tissues surrounding the bones and implants.
