When you are a parent, you give your child a lot of time, manage daily life, and try to balance family and work.

Usually, your whole life changes once you become parents because the responsibilities are more significant.

Both of you may not be doing the things you used to do together, at least for a while. It is nevertheless important to give time to each other as a couple.

Here are some tips to keep in mind to survive being parents and stay in love simultaneously.

Agree together on a “couple’s date.”

The truth is, with children, if you don’t force yourself to do the things you like, you never find the time!

You will take advantage of this moment to meet face to face in a romantic and relaxed atmosphere: candlelight dinner, movie night, cultural visit, or even weekend getaway…

If you do this monthly or weekly, you will relive the excitement of your relationship and escape from the routine.

Don’t be afraid to split up.

Taking time with your partner is good, but taking time for yourself is also essential.

The benefit is twofold: first, it allows you to take a breath and see your friends. But above all, you also serve your relationship!

Separation allows you to trust the other parent…

In your absence, he (or she) will be alone taking care of the children, and it will surely be better than you think!

    Make yourself a couple’s space

You have the right to set your own private area.

The bedroom, for example, must remain the parents’ nest. Children should not be able to access it as they wish at all times.

At a minimum, ask them to knock on the door before entering when you are there. This room acts as a comfort zone when family life becomes too stressful.

You can read, dream, and relax…

This rule will also help you stay sexually active. How many couples no longer dare to make love for fear that their child will show up at the wrong time?

    Be kind to your partner.

    Let’s face it…

When you’re caught up in family life, you don’t always have time to take care of yourself.

This is especially true for mothers, who mostly spend more time looking after children than fathers.

When you are in a hurry, stressed, you may say some things or show some behaviors that are beyond you..

That’s normal and common… But you need to forgive!

This does not prevent you from discussing with your partner what you dislike about him (it is even recommended, the unspoken being the worst enemies of the couple), but always do it with calm and benevolence.

Maintain a Healthy Body and Mind

Not to please others, but for yourself…

After pregnancy, many mothers have trouble finding their young woman’s body, which is normal.

The same goes for men, who often accumulate abdominal fat after a certain age.

This shouldn’t discourage you from playing sports and taking care of your appearance.

The goal? Feel good about yourself.

Don’t Only Talk About Your Kids.

We know they are the apple of your eye. But your whole life shouldn’t revolve around them.

When you are with your partner, talk about work, your passions, and express your feelings.

Remember the topics of conversation that brought you closer when you first met.

In general, avoid bringing up the subject of your little ones too often with those around you.

Don’t date other parents who keep talking about their own kids.

Do Not Listen To The Rules

There are so many annoying rules out there…

If we listen to society, we should be perfect parents, be successful professionally, have no relationship problems, all of that, of course, while remaining attractive!

Let’s be honest: This is impossible…

Whether you are a man or a woman, you have to succeed in finding a balance between these three poles (parenthood, professional life, and love life) that suits your spouse and values YOU.

Of course, that requires a good dose of self-confidence!
