Silent Island! the mind trembled in a strange shiver!  When you arouse in the morning, you will hear the chirping of innumerable birds. Clear sunrise. At noon, any tourist should be amazed to see the beauty of the forest. Suddenly you may see a golden sparkle in the gap between the trees! Deer! You will be stunned for a moment to catch their magical eyes.

    Beauty of Nijhum Island

It’s like hiding with nature! Here comes the afternoon in the form of magic. When the sun sets over the distant ‘Kabirar Char’ in the evening, that scene will surely be the best sundown you have ever seen! Here is the night with more beauty and splendor. The light of the full moon will come over the forest like a dish and will cover your body and mind. That scene is heavenly; that feeling is supernatural!

    Location of Nijhum Island

A small island called Nijhum Island is located in Bangladesh. This quiet island is situated on the coast of Hatia Upazila of Noakhali district in Bangladesh. Osman, a Bathanian, first settled on Nijhum Island with his buffalo, named after him. The island later renames Nijhum Island.

The 14,000-acre island awakens in the 1950s. There were no settlements until the 1960s, so the island was quiet.

    How to get there?

He will launch from Sadarghat in Dhaka. Every day at five-thirty in the afternoon, a launch leaves for Hatiyar; it reaches Tamardi Ghat eight in the morning. From here, you can rent a trawler and go straight to Nijhum Island or take a baby taxi to Jahajmara Ghat, from there take a boat to Nijhum Island. All in all, you have to have three or four days to visit Nijhum Island.
