    Four effective home remedies to get rid of earache

    If you ever suffer from earache, then you can understand how irritating it is. Earache is equally painful for children and adults. But, if you know what to do, then you can quickly get rid of earache.

    However, it may be irritating and painful, though it’s not a severe health issue in general. Besides, all earaches aren’t bacterial or required any prescribed medication. You can get rid of it quickly if you use home remedies. And this will provide you alleviation.

     1. Warm or cold compresses

    To relieve pain, you can use warm or cold compresses such as heating pads or damp washcloths, or ice packs. The same thing you can do to ease ear pain. For both children and adults, these techniques are safe.

    Place the heat pads or ice packs on your ear. And after 10 minutes, alternate between cold and warm. You can use only one compress if you prefer, either cold or hot.

    2. Massage

    Earache spreads from your teeth or jaw. So, a massage can reduce your earache. You can massage your neck and jaw for the pain behind the ear.

     3. Garlic

    Garlic has both analgesic and antibiotic qualities. For thousands of years, for earache, garlic is a natural remedy. You can eat raw garlic to help abate earache.

      4. OTC remedies

    To control the earache for ear-infection, doctors recommend OTC or over the counter remedies. These are acetaminophen and ibuprofen. With or without antibiotics, these are risk-free to use. But must follow the dosing instruction. Moreover, talk to the doctor about dosing instruction for children.

    Well, there have many remedies. From all, these four are the most effective home remedies to get rid of earache. But if your earache lasts for more than 24 to 48 hours, then go to your doctor for treatment.
